Il 24 febbraio 2012 al Tunnel, Annie Erin Clark aka St. Vincent chiude il suo tour italiano. Ex studentessa della Berklee, membro dei The Polyphonic Spree e parte della touring band di Sufjan Stevens, questa giovane cantautrice americana ha conquistato la critica internazionale con l’album “Strange Mercy“, uscito il 13 settembre 2011, preceduto da “Marry me” (2007) e “Actor” (2009).
Il suo stile musicale è stato definito dai critici come un mix di chamber rock, pop, indie rock e cabaret jazz. Lei, invece, la definisce come la sublimazione dell’improvviso:
“You might have to ask my psychoanalyst. I like when things give you the willies. I like when things come out of nowhere and blindside you a little bit. I think any person who gets panic attacks or has an anxiety disorder can understand how things can all of a sudden turn very quickly.
